Civic Space, Vacaville
Civic Space, Vacaville is an open-concept project, designed to develop the old Bowman's space at 322 Parker St. in Vacaville into a modern co-working and community space. 10,000 sq ft with 1,000+ sq ft storage on the second level, the space can easily fit 20 full-time coworkers and 5 part-time or drop-ins. (See the empty space)
Co-working is catching on for modern workers. Consultants, small-business owners and startups need space outside a home office to work, meet with clients, and have the social benefits and comforts of a larger workplace. Co-workers share space, but not necessarily work. The cross-pollination of interests: for example, an accountant, a programmer, and a business consultant in the same room is a tangible benefit unique to co-working spaces; which has a cafe-like atmosphere while being unmistakeably professional.
A draft Program Narrative and Budget are available to view, and feedback is greatly appreciated. If you're interested in learning more or supporting the cause, please get in touch.
Benefits of Co-working and Shared Space
Why the old Bowman's building?
Currently, the plan is to develop the old Bowman's building at 322 Parker Street in downtown Vacaville, CA.
10,000sq ft, Downtown
It's been suggested to start in a smaller building or different location, but, we believe downtown Vacaville is the best place for a hub of social creativity.About Co-working
